Speaker series talks water solutions

The Blue River Watershed Group will host the second session of an informational speaker series from 5:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Summit County Community and Senior Center near Frisco.The topic for the event is “water problems and solutions.”Presentations will be made by Taylor Hawes, the co-director of the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments’ water quality and quantity committee, Sue Boyd, assistant county manager and Andy Carlberg, manager of the Breckenridge Sanitation District. The Blue River Watershed Group’s mission is to protect, restore and promote a sustainable Blue River watershed through cooperation, education, stewardship and resource management.For more information contact Shanna Koenig at (970) 668-3192.
