Tickets are $25 and will be available at the door. About 20 of the students will soon be competing in the Congress National Qualifiers and Event Qualifiers at Standley Lake High School in Denver next month. For each event, students will try to earn a first- or second-place finish to qualify for the National Forensics Tournament, the most competitive forensics competition each year, to be held in Kansas this June.At the last meet, in January at Heritage High School in Littleton, 26 students competed in 37 entries and 11 event categories.Summit High had many individual awards including three state champions and took second place overall in the Festival State Speech and Debate meet. The team, which began practicing in September, has competed in nine invitational forensics competitions beginning in October in preparation for the festival state meet.Festival State Speech and Debate team meet results for SHSFinalists
