Wednesday’s snowstorm forced a postponement of the third Breck Ascent ski mountaineering race of the season at Breckenridge Ski Resort, rescheduling it for this coming Wednesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Subsequently, the fourth and final race of the season is pushed back to Wednesday, March 27 at 5:30 p.m., also at the resort.

Wednesday’s third race was going to be an evening race up and down Breckenridge’s Peak 10, scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. The fourth and final race of the season is currently slated to be a climb up the resort’s Peak 7 terrain. As of now, it’s also scheduled to be a time-limit race where skiers complete as many short laps as they can in one hour.

Following each race, awards will be given out and prizes will be raffled out to participants. Through this race season, local businesses including Mountain Outfitters, Hagan Skis and Cuppa Joe have provided gifts to participants.
