Frisco to host ribbon cutting on Frisco Adventure Park upgrades Tuesday

Summit Daily staff report

The town of Frisco is inviting community members to the Frisco Adventure Park on Tuesday to celebrate the grand opening of the new skate park and boulder garden.

The ribbon will be cut at 4:30 p.m., and the event will include music, food and more. DJ Landry will be providing live music, and there also will be food for purchase from Lil Cubby’s BBQ food truck. Additionally, there will be giveaways from Woodward Copper, Frisco, the Underground and Nike. Pro skateboarder David Gravette will be attending the event for photo and autograph opportunities.

The skate park was designed by Evergreen Skateparks, and is three times the size of the old park with 28,000 square feet of jumps, bowls and more. The boulder garden is a new climbing area for kids located next to the skate park, featuring 8- to 10-foot high glass-fiber reinforced concrete boulders connected by ropes.
