SUMMIT VS. GLENWOOD SPRINGS — SUMMIT HS BOY’S SOCCER

The 14th game of the varsity soccer season, held Oct. 20 at home. The Tigers lost 2-4 to go 3-8 in the 4A Western Slope and 3-11 overall for the season.

SUMMIT VS. EAGLE VALLEY — SUMMIT HS BOY’S SOCCER

The 15th and final game of the varsity soccer season, held Oct. 22 at Eagle Valley High School. The Tigers lost 0-3 to record a 3-9 record in the 4A Western Slope and 3-12 overall record for the season. The team posted a 1-6 away record, with one win against Palisade on Oct. 10 in overtime, and a 2-6 home record, with wins against Palisade on Sept. 19 and Delta High School on Oct. 17.

SUMMIT VS. PALISADE — SUMMIT HS VOLLEYBALL

The 17th game of the varsity volleyball season, held Oct. 22 at Palisade High School. The Tigers lost in three sets to the Demons for a 5-8 record in the 4A Western Slope and a 7-10 overall record for the season, including an early-season tournament at Machebeuf. The final game of the regular season is an away game against Steamboat Springs on Oct. 27.

BRECK BUCKS VS. COLORADO THUNDERBIRDS

The first Breckenridge Bucks regular season series against the Colorado Thunderbirds, held Oct. 23-24 at South Suburban Ice Arena in Denver. The Bucks swept the series to improve to 5-3 on the season. The next series is Oct. 30-31 against the Colorado Rampage at Stephen C. Ice Arena in Breckenridge. Games begin at 8:05 p.m. nightly. Tickets cost $12-$17 at the door or online at http://www.breckenridgebucks.com.

COLORADO HS CYCLING LEAGUE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The State Championships races for the Colorado High School Cycling League, hosted at Eagle’s Haymaker course on Oct. 25. The event drew roughly 750 riders from across the state and neighboring regions, including Wyoming and New Mexico.

For the first time, riders from the South and North divisions competed in the same races for overall standings in Division I and Division II. After holding onto first place in Division II North through the season, the Summit Tigers mountain bike team was unseated by Durango High School in the South region. Varsity boys raced four laps on a 6.3-mile course, varsity girls and JV boys raced three laps, and JV girls raced two laps.
