Results from the 2015 Frisco Triathlon

The Frisco Triathlon is easily one of the most enjoyable, fun-loving triathlons on the summer racing calendar.

Just ask one of nearly 400 competitors who gathered at Frisco Bay Marina on a sun-drenched Saturday for the second running of the hybrid tri. Beginning with a 3K stand-up paddleboard cruise on Lake Dillon, the race took folks on a scenic tour of the town’s best trails.

After ditching their boards, the group hopped on mountain bikes for a 15K ride around the Frisco Peninsula. They then swapped out bike cleats for running shoes to power through the final 5K on trails overlooking the lake.

But there’s more. For the first time, the tri featured a short course and a long course. The short option included a single lap through the mountain bike loop, while the second involved two laps. Simple enough.

When the dust had settled, a slew of locals and Front Rangers took top honors. Here’s a look at the top finishers.
