Results from the Minturn Classic Nordic races at Maloit Park Jan. 16

MINTURN CLASSIC NORDIC — JAN. 16

A morning of high school and middle school Nordic races, hosted at Maloit Park on the south side of Minturn. The 5K classic drew nearly 230 high school athletes and the 2.5K classic drew nearly 110 middle school athletes, with 12 girl’s teams and 13 boy’s teams competing in the high school field.

Summit High School assistant coach Molly Griffith sends her congrats to Ruthie Boyd for a hard-fought tie at fifth and Peter Haynes for a fast eighth-place finish. She also applauded Noelle Resignolo and Tuomas Wickman for top-20 finishes, along with Kyle Tayman, Oliver Trowbridge, Jack Hurlbert, Logan Ramsay and team co-captain Rylan Miller for finishing with state qualifying times.
