STEAMBOAT CLASSIC —

SUMMIT YOUTH NORDIC

A series of high school and middle school Nordic races, held at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center on Jan. 30. The event drew more than 180 male and female high school skiers for two 5K classic races, along with nearly 100 combined middle school skiers for a 3K classic course. The Summit HS team was missing several top athletes due to a Junior National super qualifier at Soldier Hollow, Utah. The next Nordic race for scholastic athletes is a duathlon on Feb. 6 at Cordillera, hosted by Eagle Valley High School.
