Summit qualifies 12 skiers for USASA National Champs in Copper, plus Loveland YSL stubby results

Team Summit sends 12 skiers in 3 disciplines to USASA Nationals at Copper

It's been a good season for Team Summit freeskiers. With less than two weeks before the start of the USA Snowboard and Freeski Association National Championship at Woodward Copper (April 1-11), the local club has qualified 12 total skiers for three disciplines: slopestyle, halfpipe and skiercross. The club also claimed three USASA Rocky Mountain Series slopestyle champs, with Laurel McMahon, Lauren Meredith and Colin Harris taking home age-division titles.

Junior National Freeskiing Championships | Crested Butte, March 12

The International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association big-mountain finals, hosted by Crested Butte on March 12. The event drew nearly 200 youth big-mountain skiers and riders from across the nation, with age divisions ranging from 12 to 18 years old.

Team Summit snowboarder Tommy Brown took third overall in the boys 12-14 division, while skiers Cole Miller took second for the men's 15-18 division and McKenzie Hart took third for the women's 15-18 division.

A series of stubby slalom races as part of the Youth Ski League series, hosted by Loveland Ski Club at Loveland on March 12.
