Welker tests positive for Adderall, facing possible 4-game suspension

Wes Welker is facing the possibility of missing the first four games of the season, but not because of a concussion.

According to an ESPN report, the NFL has issued the Broncos’ slot receiver a four-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancement policy. Two sources told The Denver Post the league found Welker tested positive for the amphetamine Adderall, a pharmaceutical drug often used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
