Spring hunter education class offered tonight

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The first of a two-class series in hunter safety will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Ute Room of the Community and Senior Center near Frisco. This class is necessary to obtain the hunter’s safety card. Tonight’s class combines a presentation with a take-home booklet component. The second class, which includes a shooting portion and test, will be held on Friday, March 24. The timing of this course allows hunters time to fill out an application for a limited license by early April. Cost for the two-session series is $10. No preregistration is available. To receive a hunter’s safety card, you must attend both sessions and complete the home study booklet. For more information, call Greg Jungman at (970) 468-6139 or Joe Holland at (970) 453-0392.
