SRP to host new arts and crafts fair using recycled materials

Summit Recycling Project officials are seeking crafters and artists for its “Refined. Renatured. Recycled. An Arts and Crafts Fair” Nov. 20.The event will allow crafters and artists to display and sell wares created using natural and reclaimed material. “We hope to attract artists who create their pieces from reclaimed wood, metal, glass, paint, paper and whatever else they see potential in,” said Holly Loff, SRP’s education coordinator. “Our staff has seen so many incredible things created from reclaimed materials in the past. We wanted to share the creativity of the artists with Summit County.”We also hope to bring in some crafters that work with all natural material, including candle and soap makers. We think that the event will be a hit.” Artists interested in securing a booth can contact Summit Recycling Project at (970) 668-5703 or Prices are $40 for a 6-by-6 booth and a 5-foot table and $65 for a 10-by-10 booth and two 5-foot tables. Electricity is an additional $10.The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Summit County Senior and Community Center in Frisco.Summit Recycling Project is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with a mission to minimize waste in Summit County and surrounding areas through reduction, reuse, recycling and education to create a more sustainable community.
