At its annual hospital Christmas party earlier this month, St. Anthony Summit Medical Center honored 32 tenure recipients.

The medical center recognized employees who have served at least five years with the hospital; the longest tenured were recognized for 35 years of service.

The facility was established in 1978 to serve the High Country as a 24-hour emergency facility. The two 35-year honorees — Kathleen Cuthbertson and Shirley Robben — have been there since the beginning.

Mary Henrikson, chief nursing officer and chief operating officer at St. Anthony Summit, said in a prepared statement she was thankful for such a dedicated staff.

“These 32 dedicated associates make miracles happen every day … and we are most grateful for their years of service,” she said.

The different associates reached milestones of five, 10, 15 and 20, 25 or 35 years serving the hospital. The Medical Center recognized employees from a number of departments and positions.

“It’s commitment like this that continues to provide world-class service as evidenced by the hospital’s top scores and recognition in patient satisfaction, quality and safety,” Henrikson said.

Special recognition was also given to three retirees: Ginny McCracken, from the lab for 22 years of service; Amy Woessner, from the emergency department for 31 years; and Kathleen Cuthbertson, for 35 years from the emergency department.
