St. Anthony Summit welcomes first baby of 2019

Summit County’s first baby of the New Year has been born.

Marco Ovalle Moreno was born at 9:53 p.m. on Jan. 1 at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center’s Birth Place. Marco was 5 pounds, 14 ounces and 18.5 inches long. Both Marco and his mother, Geidi Moreno of Silverthorne, are happy and healthy.

St. Anthony’s Birth Place — comprised of eight private delivery rooms — averages nearly 400 births a year, along with lactation support, birth classes and other programs offering support and education to new moms.
