Starbucks helps out Race for Cure

A BIG thank you to the Starbucks stores in Dillon, Frisco and Breckenridge for allowing the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to hold a special Race for the Cure registration day.On Saturday, Sept. 11, volunteers spent five hours registering people for the race at the Starbucks locations. Due to the traffic into those stores, we were very successful in our efforts. Once again Starbucks has shown that they care about the local community, and they have helped us in the fight against breast cancer. The Race for the Cure, benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be held in Denver on Oct. 3. If you missed the registration day, you can still register via the Internet. Just go to http://www.raceforthecure and you will find information about the race and how to register. Since the Komen Foundation now supports Summit County, let’s support the Komen Foundation by participating in the race.
