State Rep. Gibbs lands seat on crucial state tourism board
DENVER – Freshman state Representative Dan Gibbs (D-Silverthorne) has added another key position to his burgeoning resume, joining the board of directors of the Colorado Tourism Office. Rep. Gibbs said, “It’s an honor to serve on this board. Tourism is an $8 billion dollar industry vitally important for Colorado’s economy. The ski industry in Summit, Lake, and Eagle Counties contribute greatly to the tourism economy.”Meeting monthly, the board consists of 15 members, four of which must be current state legislators. The remaining board represents various tourism and travel industry segments. Rep. Gibbs will be replacing former State Representative Gary Lindstrom of Breckenridge. “State Rep. Dan Gibbs joining the tourism board is exciting news for Summit, Lake and Eagle counties, stated Constance Jones, Executive Director of the Summit Chamber of Commerce. “Dan will bring a fresh perspective and a lot of energy to the board. “
