Stewart memorial planned June 7

Robert Leslie Stewart, 59, passed away May 26 after a very brave four-year battle against cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jalva Eakins Stewart, and is preceded in death by his parents, Lilyan and Morris Stewart.

Robert is survived by his sister, Kay (Dean) Smith; his brother, Kenneth Stewart; and his daughters, Heather Marie (Christian) Avila, Lisa Marie (Baltazar) Garcia and Dara Jo Stewart. Robert had five grandchildren: Joshua and Isiah Avila, Isabella Garcia, Donavon Wallace and Garret Trout, and numerous nieces and nephews. During his life, he was Family owner of Don’s Cafe in Pueblo for 30 years, kitchen manager at the Fairplay Hotel for five years, and owner of the Park Bar for two years. Bob was loved and will be missed by many.

There will be a Memorial for Bob on June 7 at 1 p.m. at the Legion Hut on 6th and Clark Street in Fairplay. There will be a pot luck meal following at which we will celebrate Bob’s Life.
