Still a chance to win a playhouse; drawing is Sunday

The Summit County Builders Association will hold its drawing for three playhouses Sunday.

Proceeds will benefit the Summit Foundation. The playhouses were constructed by Apex Mountain Homes, Mountain Log Homes of Colorado and Pisces Builders. Buy a chance at winning one of these beautiful playhouses at the Parade of Homes this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Benefits to help infant with brain tumor

BRECKENRIDGE – Two benefits are scheduled for 4-month-old Ross McDowell, a local boy who was diagnosed last week with a brain tumor. The infant was born May 23 to Nancy and Terry McDowell of Park County. The first benefit is slated at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Breckenridge Brewery, where there will be two free kegs, live music by Spider Murphy and the Pushovers, a silent auction and raffle. Prizes will include spa services, pontoon boat rentals, rounds of golf, an overnight stay in Aspen, a flyfishing trip and more. Cost is $20 and all proceeds will go to the family. Wednesday, Alpine Hair Studio, at 500 S. Main St., in Breckenridge, will donate all proceeds from haircuts, waxing, manicures and pedicures, tanning and wash-and-styles. Experience the Summit gearing up

The Summit County Chamber of Commerce wants to know: “Are You Experienced?”

That is, have you “Experienced the Summit?” This is a grassroots public relations campaign the chamber is re-energizing. Get ready to hear how locals “Experience the Summit” and how we can encourage visitors to do the same.

Be on the lookout for chamber surveys to come out in the next couple weeks, “Experience the Summit” bumper stickers and some thoughts on this subject at the annual Ski Area COO Luncheon noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Copper Conference Center.

Save the date for the Annual COO Panel Luncheon

FRISCO – Once again, the Summit County Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the annual Ski Area COO (Chief Operating Officer) Panel Luncheon. This year it will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Copper Conference Center at Copper Mountain.

The COO Panel will focus on new developments at the resorts and predictions for the upcoming ski season. Come with questions or just ready to listen and learn about new developments.

Sponsorships are available at two levels: The Black Diamond Special is $150 and includes a banner at the event, an ad in the Chamber Connection and the ability to bring information on your business to the luncheon. You will also receive two tickets to the luncheon.
