Summit Daily/Brad OdekirkSnowshoers will stomp out breast cancer on Saturday.

On Saturday, the 2nd Annual Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Walk will take place at the Frisco Nordic Center. More than 1,000 snowshoers are expected to enter the event this year. There is limited parking at the Frisco Nordic Center. Free Summit Stage shuttles will be available from the Middle School located east on School Road and the Summit County Commons, located one-third of a mile west of the Nordic Center entrance off of Highway 9 at County Road 1004. Parking will be at the designated County Commons motor vehicle entrance and to the right of the library entrance. Plan to arrive early as shuttles begin at 8 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. Follow the signs to the specified parking areas. To compete, register online at or call the Nordic center at (970) 668-0866.
