Student protesters ignore lessons of World War II

I happened upon your article about an anti-war protest and found the picture interesting. The student holding the sign “War never works” is quite hilarious – apparently the product of public school education.

I’m sure this pupil never heard about World War II. The pupil should thank the hundreds of thousands of Americans who put their lives on the line and fought and died for this student’s right to protest. Otherwise the students’ signs would be written in German. Or more likely, they wouldn’t have the freedom to even protest.

It is people like this who fulfill the old adage, “Those who don’t learn from history will be doomed to repeat it.”
