Successful Food Bank

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Family and Intercultural Resource Center’s Food Bank distributed more than 2,400 lbs. of food to more than 300 households in need, from September through December, in 2007. Please consider donating non-perishable food items to the Food Bank so that we can continue to provide this important service to our fellow Summit County residents. Items needed at this time include: tuna, peanut butter, pasta/pasta sauce, cereal, beans and rice.Donations can be dropped off at the FIRC, 330 Fiedler Ave. in Dillon (behind Summit Thrift & Treasure, across from CMC), on Tuesdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 2-5 p.m. If you are unable to drop off at these times, please contact Rob at (970) 262-3888 ext. 318 for an alternate drop-off time. Donation receipts are available for tax purposes. Thanks again to the Summit County community for your ongoing support of fellow residents through our Food Bank!Rob Murphy, MSWGeneral Assistance CoordinatorFamily & Intercultural Resource Center
