Suit against Frisco police dismissed

FRISCO – A federal lawsuit against Frisco’s police department and other individuals was dismissed last month.

The suit alleged the police department, one of its officers, a sheriff’s deputy and a Frisco resident violated the civil rights of Steven Toldo. Toldo filed the suit in August 2002, alleging a romantic relationship between his ex-wife and a Frisco police officer led to harassment. Toldo died in surgery at a Denver hospital in December before the suit was resolved.

U.S. District Court Judge Wiley Daniel dismissed the suit with prejudice, meaning the matter won’t be brought to court again. Each party is responsible for its own legal costs.
