Summer at Sunrise Point

A small neighborhood just at the south edge of Breckenridge lies just next to the southern boundary of the Breckenridge Ski Resort. Sunrise Point offers a quiet cul de sac, a small cluster of homes, and spectacular views of the entire ski area and the Ten Mile Range. Today’s featured home sits at 7 Sunrise Point Drive and offers excellent sun, spectacular finishes and a ski run from Peak Ten that will bring you to your door at the end of the ski day. Offered at $4,285,999, the five bedroom, seven bath home also boasts a three car garage and plenty of space for family and friends.

The exterior is gray cedar which conjures up a look reminiscent of barnboard with beautiful rock detail. The entry is charcoal toned stone with a nearby coat closet and boot bench. To the right is a powder room with white vessel sink mounted on a slab of gray, charcoal and taupe stone.

Straight ahead is the Great room with light natural wood floors, soaring ceilings and interesting roof lines. The north wall focuses on a massive stone fireplace with raised hearth. A wood mantel adds detail. On either side of the fireplace are built in spaces for media and books. The west facing wall is all windows with a commanding view of the ski area. A French door opens onto the deck to soak up the afternoon sun. From here, you can get a great look at the ski trail which leads you home at the end of the day.

To the left, the living space transitions to the dining room, which also has a door out to the side deck with a built in Viking outdoor kitchen with stainless steel fittings and granite countertops. The kitchen adjoins the room with the same charcoal, gray and taupe granite and natural toned cabinetry. Appliances include a Dacor four burner cooktop with grill, GE Monogram refrigerator, double oven with Advantium, microwave and convection options, dishwasher, compactor, warming oven, and wine cooler. Other special touches include a built in office area, pantry closets, and a prep sink. The two tiered island adds additional seating. Nearby, a mud area with stone floors leads into the three car garage.

Stairs from this level lead down to a carpeted hallway with doors to a storage closet and a sauna. To the right, the master suite enjoys a stone fireplace with built in media area and spectacular views. Doors open onto a west-facing deck which also houses the spa. The ensuite bath features marble countertops in soft grays and bisque. Double rectangular sinks are Kohler, the separate shower has Euro style doors, and an oversized jetted tub is a delightful amenity. An adjoining room reveals a comfortable office with built in desk and bookshelf space.

To the left of this level is a pair of bedrooms, each with a private tiled bath with honed travertine countertops. The right hand bedroom also has access to the spa, while a bonus area sits on the left side of this level.

Stairs down lead to a carpeted family room with space for a pool table, game table, seating, and a huge built in area for a home theatre. Another stone fireplace with raised hearth warms a chilly evening and a wet bar offers a Uline refrigerator and sink.

Doors from the family room and an adjoining ski room with mud area lead out to the patio level and provide access to the ski trail for winter sports or summer hiking. There is a bath nearby, as well as a laundry. The wine cellar features a cooling system as well as a seating area for tasting and entertaining. Two additional bedrooms are on this level, each with a tiled bath.

Details throughout the home are lovely, with three panel solid core garrison style doors, natural stone and marble and beautiful woodworking. The floor plan is excellent, with good bedroom privacy, spacious closets and many places to escape for a quiet book or movie viewing.

This beautiful home, with quiet location close to National Forest and the ski resort, spectacular views, and a warm, welcoming ambience is waiting for the chance to welcome you and yours to its perfect four season charm.
