Summer entertainment set for Blue River Plaza


BRECKENRIDGE – Let there be animation.

As part of the town of Breckenridge’s attempt to liven up the downtown core, the Breckenridge Resort Chamber has lined up musicians, performers and other family entertainment at the Blue River Plaza at Washington and Main streets.

The free performances will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.

This weekend and July 6 the Backstage Theatre will present songs from its various musicals and feature others from the Cafe Noir, a Bogart-style murder mystery the theatre troupe will perform Wednesdays through Saturdays through July 27 at the Breckenridge Mountain Lodge, and Tuesdays at the Breckenridge Cattle and Fish Company in the Village at Breckenridge.

The Summit County Arts Council will hold a artists’ techniques demonstration July 5; and the Mountain Top Children’s Museum will host an event called “Thinking Outside the Box with Kids” July 7.
