Summer views atop Westridge

Bonnie Smith-Allen
special to the daily

The residence at 360 Snowflake Drive sits up on the very top of a ridge, soaking in the sun and views from its south-facing location. Located in the Westridge neighborhood, this six bedroom, five and a half bath home is offered at $3,695,000. The streetscape of the home is particularly striking, with moss rock exterior detail and lovely landscaping. It also sits on a dead end street, giving good privacy and a peaceful location. The stone steps lead up to a covered entrance with an imposing door, which features carved rope detail. The front door opens into a stone entry with space for a boot bench and a coat closet. Stairs up lead into the spacious Great room, anchored by a moss rock fireplace. The floors are wide planked wood in a medium stain. The living area has cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows looking out to Baldy Mountain and the Town of Breckenridge below.

A dining area on either side of the space provides comfortable seating for a crowd. The kitchen on the left is open to the area, with sand, chocolate and butterscotch slab granite countertops. Appliances include a Sub Zero refrigerator, a pair of Kitchen Aid dishwashers, a GE microwave, a wine refrigerator, and a Viking Professional range with two ovens, six burners and a griddle.

Adjoining the kitchen is a pantry, an additional refrigerator, a small mud area, a half bath, and a door out to the deck where the spa is located. There is also a door out off the dining area to the perfect barbeque deck. Also on this level is a pair of bedroom suites, each with a private bath. One enjoys doors out to the spa.

Stairs up lead into a loft area- the perfect spot for reading a quiet book or an office. Two additional bedrooms and tiled baths reside here. The larger of the two is the master which boasts a private deck with a spectacular birds eye view of Baldy mountain and the ski runs on Peak 9. The master also features another moss rock fireplace and a media platform above. The master bath has two closets- one a walk in and the other a lockable owners closet. The master bath has a jetted tub, split sinks, built in vanity, and a wet bar area with a refrigerator and space for a coffeemaker. There is a washer dryer on this level for convenience as well.

Steps down from the main level lead to a tiled entertainment area with a pool table, wet bar and sitting area with a stone fireplace and media viewing. A large laundry is here, with storage, washer, two dryers and a utility sink. Two additional bedrooms are on this level, along with another bath. There is also the entrance to the garage, as well as a full mudroom with “toy” storage for mountain sports.

Throughout the home, the hallmarks of careful planning shine through with large bedrooms, lots of storage, and excellent separation for privacy. The doors are four panel with a solid core and all the stone and tile is natural material. Coupled with a ski in location and just a few blocks to the downtown center, this is a spectacular place to gather a crowd and enjoy every season of our beautiful mountain environment.
