Summit Community Care Clinic opens dental practice in Fairplay
The new dental practice in Fairplay will be open one day a week
The Summit Community Care Clinic opened a new dental office at 548 Front Street in Fairplay on Oct. 19.
The new dental practice will provide continuation of dental care options in Park County left vacant by Dr. Jim Caldwell of Southpark Dental. In February, Caldwell made the Care Clinic aware of his plans to retire after operating Southpark Dental since 2018 and asked if the Care Clinic would take over, according to a news release.
The Care Clinic obtained startup funding from Colorado Community Health Alliance, the regional organization that administers Colorado Medicaid benefits.
The office is open one day per week, on Thursdays, with plans to expand operations based on need, according to the news release. The Park County practice offers basic dental care, including exams, x-rays, sealants, filling and cleaning, with the opportunity to refer patients to the Frisco office as needed.
