Summit County Ambulance Service celebrates EMS Week 2008

Please join Summit County Ambulance Service in celebrating EMS Week, May 18-24, by participating in the annual Blood Drive, free CPR/AED, First Aid classes, and car seat check.On May 20 from 1-5 p.m. Summit County Ambulance Service will conduct car seat inspections at the Emergency Services Building, 0227 County Shops Road in Frisco. Certified car seat technicians will inspect car seats for safety, fit and proper installations. Please call (970) 668-5777 for a reservation. In conjunction with Bonfils Blood Center, the annual blood drive will be held May 21 at the Community & Senior Center located at 0151 Peak One Blvd. in Frisco, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. To register for a time, please contact the Bonfils Blood Center at (800) 365-0006, Option 2, or http://www.bonfils.org.Summit County Ambulance Service will also sponsor two free classes during EMS Week 2008. The first class will be a First Aid class to be held on May 21st from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and the second class will be a free CPR/AED class, which will be held on May 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Both classes will be held at the Community & Senior Center located at 0151 Peak One Blvd. in Frisco. In conjunction with the Keep the Beat- Summit County Public Access Defibrillation Project, these classes are being offered in order to continue to promote the importance of early CPR and Automatic External Defibrillators use in the event of a cardiac arrest.
