Breakfast with Santa will be held today from 8:30-11 a.m. at the Backcountry Brewery, which is located at 720 Main St., Frisco. Tickets are available at or at Summit County Preschool, 70 W. Main St. Frisco. Cash or checks can be accepted at the school. Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.This is the fifth annual breakfast with Santa, a fundraiser for the school. This event is geared toward families with young children. All will enjoy a delicious breakfast as the children tell Santa all the items on his/her list. New this year, Breakfast with Santa will feature a silent auction of five decorated Christmas trees and table prizes. Kay Beaton will be on hand to take professional photos of the little ones with Santa.

The FIRC Bag Shop will be open Saturdays until Christmas from 1-4 p.m. in Suite 22 at La Riva Mall in Dillon. Get unique holiday gifts and help the community. All bags are made from donated material by volunteers and 100 percent of sales are donated to the Family & Intercultural Resource Center’s emergency assistance and food bank programs.

Celebrate the joy and hope of the holiday season with the Lord of the Mountains Sanctuary Choir as it performs the cantata “Tapestry of Light,” A Celtic Christmas Celebration. This free choral concert is presented by Summit Music and Arts as part of its 2012-13 Concert Series on Sunday, at 5 p.m. at Lord of the Mountains Church in Dillon. LOTM music director, organist, and choral director Len Rhodes will direct the choir from the piano.”Tapestry of Light” is a cantata containing traditional carols and lush Celtic melodies, scripture readings and candlelight. Familiar tunes and thoughtful narration underscore the uplifting theme of the work. This jubilant cantata contains recognizable melodies such as “I Saw Three Ships,” “Sussex Carol,” “Scarborough Fair,” “Greensleeves,” and “Londonderry Air,” which are not ordinarily associated with Christmas. The concert will also contain some other seasonal music. There will be a reception following this cantata.

Boy Scout Troop 187 in Breckenridge is holding its annual Christmas Tree Sale through Dec. 24 or while supplies last.Start you holiday season with a fresh, beautiful tree and support your local Boy Scouts. Varieties include Scotch Pine, Concolor Fir and Fraser Fir and are available in sizes ranging from 5-12 feet. Wreaths and tree stands are also available.Location is again at the Riverwalk Center/Tiger Dredge Lot which is on the corner of Park Avenue and Washington in Breck. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 4-6:30 pm, Friday from 4-7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. This is the troop’s one-and-only fundraiser.

Seeking young musicians 15-18-years-old who are talented and serious about forming a rock-based band. Must be able to rehearse two times per week, practice independently to learn material, develop a songbook and be available to play gigs at local establishments. Time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ullr Fest, Jan. 6-12. The Breckenridge Resort Chamber is currently taking nominations for the 2013 Ullr King and Queen. The royal Ullr couple should be fun-loving and enthusiastic. They should love Breck and embrace its zany qualities. Email your nomination for the perfect Ullr couple to Sandy Metzger at by Wednesday.
