Join Friends of the Dillon Ranger District on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for its annual volunteer celebration and National Public Lands Day at the Windy Point Pavilion/Prospector Campground. After a light breakfast, volunteers will participate in their choice of service project helping to clean up Swan Mountain Road or continuing trail maintenance along the Lakeshore Trail. The day will wrap up with a barbecue lunch and party at noon (provided by FDRD), complete with prize giveaways for volunteers! This is a zero-waste event so volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable cup, plate and utensil and come dressed for a day outdoors.
