Breckenridge Cub Scout Pack 187 is having its first pack meeting of the year tonight at 6:30 at Upper Blue Elementary, and all boys in first through fifth grades are invited to join the pack. We will be registering all Cub Scouts and organizing our dens. Pack meetings are the first Tuesday of every month and dens usually meet twice a month. The Knights of Columbus and FIRC need monetary donations for the Summit County “Coats for Kids” Campaign. Boxes containing 12 new winter coats cost $200. The Community Veggie Dinner invites you to be our guest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Summit County Community and Senior Center, 0083 Nancy’s Place, Frisco. “Squish Time in for Squash” featuring: butternut squash and root vegetable soup, marinara sauce served with spaghetti squash, marinated vegetable salad, zucchini spice bread and pumpkin dip with flour tortillas and sliced apples. The second annual Dillon Dam Brewery Vintage Car Show is on Saturday at the brewery. Show time is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and you can register your 30-plus-year-old car by emailing with your car info, phone number and address or call (970) 262-7777. There will be judges, prizes and Dam beer/refreshments. All proceeds benefit League for Animals & People of the Summit.LAPS has spay/neuter and medical/surgical programs to give financial aid for high veterinarian bills to low-income residents, along with $50 vouchers for spay/neuter for any income level, for anyone who either lives or works in Summit County. Frisco’s newest event, Fall Fest, will carve its way onto Frisco’s Main Street on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This all-day festival has something for everyone including art shows, firemen games, wood-carving and live music. The event celebrates our mountain environment and benefits Friends of the Dillon Ranger District. Volunteers are needed to help with the Mount Royal Hill Climb race, pour and sell beer, assist with a cake walk and help direct volunteers.
