Summit County dispatch to conduct feedback survey
Starting this month, the Summit County 911 Center will ask for feedback from people who call its non-emergency line. Callers will receive a survey via text message that asks about their experience, according to a news release.
The dispatch center will use the feedback to evaluate its overall effectiveness and improve service. The text will come one hour after a call is marked as completed. It will ask callers to rate their satisfaction on a scale of one to five, then allow them to give any additional comments or feedback.
The news release stated people who call 911 will not be asked for feedback. Non-emergency calls that could receive the survey text include requests for information, parking related complaints or concerns, extra patrol check requests and callers reporting things like traffic lights that are out, road hazards and lost or stolen items.
Texts can come from 970-553-4257 or 970-514-8326 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Anyone who receives a text can opt out at any time by replying “STOP.”
