Summit County Garden Club Tour set for Saturday

Daily News staff report

Get your tickets now at Neils Lunceford, Alpine Gardens, Summit Landscaping, the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco or from garden club members or by calling Beverly at (970) 453-3492. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. (Cash or checks.)

This is how the tour works. Tickets are exchanged the day of the tour for a map booklet at the center. The exchange time is 8:30 -10:30 a.m. A delicious complimentary continental breakfast is available when you pick up the map. You will also enjoy a show of local floral-themed artwork at the center and our colorful collectible poster will be offered for $15.

The tour is self-guided and the gardens are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tour is concentrated in Silverthorne, Keystone and Frisco this year. There will be an added attraction of local artists doing “plein air” painting in many of the gardens. Check out summitcountygardenclub.org. We are a nonprofit club open to all residents of the county, full- or part-time.
