Summit County libraries celebrate National Children’s Book Week

All three Summit County branch libraries will celebrate National Children’s Book Week on Tuesday with Cindy the Clown, who will perform a children’s magic show and have balloon animals. Refreshments will be served. All ages welcome.

– North Branch Library, Silverthorne: 9:15 a.m.

– South Branch Library, Breckenridge: 11:30 a.m.

– Main Library, Frisco: 3:30 p.m.

South Branch Library manager Pat Hasenfus says more than anything, National Children’s Book Week is a celebration of the written word. “Children’s Book Week introduces young people to books, authors, illustrators and ideas in schools, libraries, homes and bookstores. Through Children’s Book Week, we encourage young people and their caregivers to discover the complexity of the world beyond their own experience through books.”
