Summit County Libraries say thank you

SPECIAL TO THE DAILY

The Summit County Libraries would like to thank everyone who helped with our recent book sale! Our gratitude goes out to all of the volunteers, staff and Friends of the Libraries’ members who donated their time and energy; community members who donated books prior to the sale;

and to all of those who supported us by visiting and purchasing available books. We could not have done it without the help of each of you.

The Friends of the Library book sale proceeds

of $3,689 go toward purchasing books, snacks, and prizes for the teen Missing Ending Book Club this school year, the new cabinet used to store Story Hour materials at the main library, and to purchase books and prizes for the Young Adult Summer Reading Program, as well as assisting the library in purchasing new materials, covering operational costs and general expenses impacted by recent budget cuts. These funds help us to better serve the residents and visitors of Summit County.

For more information on any upcoming volunteer opportunities and how you can help the Summit County Libraries through donations, please call Joyce Dierauer, at (970) 668-5555 or contact her by e-mail at joyced@co.summit.co.us; visit our website at http://www.co.summit.co.us/library; add our Facebook page to your favorites; or simply come by and check with us at any of our three locations, in Frisco, Breckenridge and Silverthorne.
