Summit County Library announces teen creative writing contest winners

FRISCO — Throughout July, the Summit County Library hosted a creative writing contest as part of the library’s summer reading program. Teens in grades sixth through 12 were asked to submit a fantasy story of up to 5,000 words to coincide with the program’s “Imagine Your Story” theme.
After receiving 10 entries, the top three authors have been chosen:
- Sophia Elsass won first place with “Andamia Bottleboot and the Rise of the Undead”
- Jonas Rosenthal won second place with “Slide Rock Bolter”
- Caedmon Ballou won third place with “Vandi and his Troublesome Three”
Every teen who submitted a story received an Amazon gift card for participating. Visit SummitCountyLibraries.org to read the winning entries.
