Summit County: Make A Difference Day looking for sites

Daily News staff report

Make A Difference Day 2011 is looking for sites for the 13th annual event. This is a national day of giving back to communities. It is held locally the second Saturday of each October, this year it will be on Oct. 8. In the past, over 500 volunteers have provided work at over 30 sites in Summit County. Make A Difference Day sites are local nonprofits, schools and government agencies/departments. The event is a great opportunity to complete organizational projects and recruit new volunteers. To register as a Make A Difference Day site, visit http://www.summitpreventionalliance.org. Sites must complete their applications by Friday. For more info, contact Carli Seeba at (970) 668-2077.
