A Summit County man was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of child pornography after dozens of “sexually exploitative images of children” were discovered on his home computer, according to a statement from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

An anonymous tip led the sheriff’s office to arrest 43-year-old Daniel Soos, who was charged with sexual exploitation of a child, a class 4 felony.

In a search of Soos’s residence, authorities discovered at least 63 pornographic images of children on a desktop computer and a removable flash drive, which will be sent to a forensics laboratory for additional analysis.

The images and statements Soos later made to authorities led to the arrest.

Soos, a Keystone Transportation employee, is currently being held at the Summit County Jail and no bond has been set, according to the statement.

If convicted, Soos could face up to six years in prison and up to a $500,000 fine.

This story will be updated.
