Summit County man dies spontaneously

Jose Cruz Vela-Espinoza, 53, died just before 5 a.m. Tuesday after collapsing in front of his wife at their home in Wildernest. The man was taken to Summit Medial Center and later flown to Denver where doctors realized he had a massive subarachnoid bleed, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.

The bleed was a spontaneous medical event with no trauma involved, according to Richardson.
