Summit County leaders are aiming to include dozens of housing units for seniors living in the county as part of a sprawling development plan north of Frisco.

The Lake Hill project, which could see new workforce housing built between Frisco and Silverthorne near Interstate 70, has been in the works for years with officials continuing to inch closer to development.

According to a recent news release, the county’s elected officials have pledged it will include 60 units for seniors enrolled in assisted living or receiving attention for things like memory care and rehabilitation nursing care.

The development is also expected to include housing for working residents as well as a community and child care center.
