The lack of luxury land sales in April and May held the average price

down from the spectacular highs of the first 3 months of this year.

Only 24 lots have sold in the first 5 months of 2010. Cash is still

the norm for land sales (and most other types as well) as banks are

especially reluctant to finance new construction. There were about

2475 properties for sale last week. There were 439 lots for sale.

24… lots sold through May of 2010 – 3 sold in May

184… lots sold through May of 2006 – 35 sold in May
