summit county real estate at a glance

In the past nine months, there have been only 44 building sites sold in Summit County, about one-third the number sold to date last year. The average price of $327,800 is 38 percent lower than last years. Clearly, land is the best bargain in Summit County with prices now at 2006 levels and an inventory of over 400 to choose from. At some point, builders will re-enter the market and these prices will disappear. There were a total of 2517 properties listed for sale last week, the fourth straight week of decrease.
