Summit County: Rescheduled tree replanting project set for Saturday

Daily News staff report

Save the baby trees! Officers Gulch is an awesome area for hiking, fishing and used to be an amazing place for camping. Tons of baby trees line an old road bed that could potentially be a road again someday soon. Help Friends of the Dillon Ranger District and Keller Williams Realty on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. replant the baby trees so they don’t get trappled. Meet at the gulch parking area and be sure to stick around for a barbecue provided by the Betsy Goodell family. All volunteers are encouraged to sign up online at so that we can ensure there are enough tools and food for everyone.
