The Summit County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new website to provide the community with easier access to essential services, public safety updates and other resources, according to a news release.
The new website can be found at SummitSheriffColorado.gov. It features information on how to apply for a job at the Sheriff’s Office, concealed handgun permit applications, news and alerts, non-criminal fingerprint scheduling, fire restrictions, the sex offender registry for unincorporated Summit County and animals available for adoption at the local animal shelter.
Users can also submit anonymous crime tips, pay tickets online, pay bonds and manage inmate commissary accounts and request records and civil services on the website, the release states.
“Our goal is to make it easier for the community to connect with us while ensuring our online presence is accessible to everyone, in compliance with new federal laws and new state standards,” said Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons. “This new platform allows the community to quickly access critical information, report concerns, and engage with our Office more effectively.”
