FRISCO — Summit County will host a workshop to provide commercial property owners and contractors with information about how to build energy efficient commercial buildings — and how to finance these undertakings. The workshop will be from 12:45–4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Summit County Community and Senior Center. The center is at 83 Nancy’s Place, Frisco.

The workshop will provide information about the Colorado Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy program, which the Summit Board of County Commissioners opted into in August. The program is a financing method for property owners to make environmentally friendly upgrades at a more affordable cost.

Attendees of the workshop will learn more about the details of the energy program and how financing works. The program is administered by the Summit County Treasurer’s Office.
