Summit County weather report: Expect steady accumulation throughout the day

Most of the resorts saw 3-5 inches of snow overnight with more coming down. It’s predicted that an additional 3-5 inches will accumulate throughout the day.

During the storm stay updated on weather forecasts and road reports.

Traction law is in effect for most of the I-70 mountain corridor from Eisenhower Tunnel through Eagle. Plan for slow speeds and slippery driving throughout the day.

OpenSnow predicts that this afternoon and evening, the snow should begin to favor Vail Pass and Eisenhower Tunnel when the wind direction switches to blow from the west and northwest.

Expect snowy roads Wednesday morning, and then sunshine during the day on Wednesday to melt most road surfaces by midday.
