“The only secret to good barbecue is to start slow and never go faster,” said Doug Pierce, owner of Arapahoe Cafe and Pub, a Summit County favorite since 1945. Located in a homey, historic building moved from the original town of Dillon, Arapahoe Cafe is known for having a great atmosphere and excellent service, in addition to award-winning cuisine. Try the “bloodies” at breakfast or lunches on the patio in summer. For dinner, choose from entrees such as Pierce’s award-winning house-smoked ribs, buffalo meatloaf and nightly pub specials.
