Summit County’s best restaurant: Ski Tip Lodge

Daily News staff report
  1. Ski Tip Lodge
  2. Hearthstone Restaurant
  3. Arapahoe Café & Pub

The Ski Tip Lodge is a dining experience not to be missed. Originally an 1800s stagecoach stop and later the first skier lodge for Arapahoe Basin in the 1940s, it is now best known for its restaurant, which features a revolving, four-course menu and out-of-this-world desserts. What’s most unique, however, is the atmosphere. Cozy, unpretentious and creaky, Ski Tip feels more like a home than a restaurant. Executive chef Kevin McCombs creates new twists on old classics for modern and unique fare, and certified sommelier Megan Morgan offers a wide selection from the restaurant’s impressive wine cellar.
