Summit Daily seeks volunteers to build playhouses for charity event

The Summit Daily News and town of Dillon are looking for businesses, organizations or individuals who are interested in constructing a playhouse to be auctioned off for charity as part of the annual Playhouse Project.

The public art exhibit includes children’s playhouses that are on display in Dillon Marina Park throughout August before being auctioned to the highest bidder. All of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the housing program at Summit Advocates. Past beneficiaries have been the Family & Intercultural Resource Center and Habitat for Humanity.

Playhouse builders will be given a stipend to cover a portion of materials in addition to a story featuring their house, signage at the house while on display, the organization’s name and logo in all event marketing, and advertising in the Summit Daily and Summit County Home magazine.
