Kayce Anderson, executive director of Colorado-based nonprofit For The Good Period, shares a smile with young girls in the Kenyan village of Mugatuni during a game of Hokey Pokey in late September. The game served as an ice-breaker at the beginning of a menstrual pad distribution and education session. For the Good Period distributed menstrual hygiene kits and delivered reproductive health education to more than 300 girls from Mugatuni and surrounding villages on the nonprofit’s first day of kit distributions in Kenya.
