The White River National Forest recently opened up its 30-day public comment period for a new 3-mile Fremont Pass Recpath proposed last year by Summit County government. Wetlands and wildlife issues remain to be addressed, but Summit's long-term vision is to produce a vast bicycle network that links many preexisting mountain trails from town to town and county to county.
